Germany at fault in Europe’s tragic refugee crisis
Writing in Market Watch, a publication of the Dow Jones Company, columnist Darrel Delamaide takes a swipe at Germany in general, and Angela Merkel in particular by linking Germany’s handling of the Greek financial crisis with the refugee crisis:
While some commentators see the German response to the refugee crisis making up in part for its brutal treatment of Greece, it is rather the case that Berlin’s loss of moral authority from that crisis prevents it from forging any sort of unity on refugees.
— Darrel Delamaide
Delamaide concludes that the Americans will have to fill the leadership left by Merkel’s bungling of these issues. To read the whole column, go to http://www.marketwatch.com/story/germany-at-fault-in-europes-tragic-refugee-crisis-2015-09-04?page=1.
